Dear Dr. [FIRSTNAME]
As a researcher you are often required to distinguish the special form of a protein (mutated, proteolyzed, alternatively spliced, or post-translationally modified) from its normal counterpart. For this purpose, antibodies would be raised against a short sequence that contains a specific site of alteration or modification. We are well aware of the technical difficulties and high cost that you might face in this process. We are thus pleased to introduce the new SEAL FOCUS libraries with the twin goals of lowering your investment and maximizing your chance of success.
Using the special SEAL technology, our custom monoclonal antibody service would provide you:
1) multiple antibodies (6-20) raised against multiple epitopes (4-12) of the same protein, thus greatly enhancing your chance of success;
2) antibodies which bind your targets with nanomolar affinity;
3) antibodies that recognize both the native and the denatured state of your protein;
4) antibodies of known epitope
Different from the traditional "trial-and-error" research-like antibody development practices, SEAL technology employs multiplexed antigens, multiplexed immunizations, multiplexed fusions and multiplexed cell line selections to guarantee the yield of a library of high affinity monoclonal antibodies against multiple independent epitopes of a target protein. Together, the SEAL library approach is tens of times more successful to produce antibodies for a single antigen, and can be more than one hundred times more successful for a protein target when multiple antigens are used. From such a diverse SEAL library, you are far more likely to discover successful antibodies for a variety of applications.
Hundreds of scientists have published papers which cite the use of our custom monoclonal antibodies. Below are a few
